Cali is a 4 year old spayed female 'Torbie' — meaning she has tortoiseshell coloring with a tabby-type pattern. She is quiet, demure, and loves people. She was relinquished to the County Shelter together with Diego (see below). If possible, The Ark would like to find a home that can keep them together. |

Diego is a 5 year old neutered male orange tabby cat. This boy is an adventurer, very interested in all those things around him that need to be explored. (That's why his photo looks blurred!) He was relinquished to the County Shelter together with Cali (see above). If possible, The Ark would like to find a home that can keep them together. |

Milo
is a 15-pound neutered male Schnoodle.
Simply put, he is a very nice little boy.
He seems to enjoy car rides, content to sit in
the back seat and quietly watch the world outside the window.

Cricket is a 4-year-old 12-pound neutered male "American Rescue Dog". We thought he was just as cute as a bug, thus the name. According to our volunteer who transported him away from the County Shelter: "I did not have any issues with him at all. When he got in the car, he stood on the arm rest and kissed my face. He then proceeded onto my lap and, with one paw on the steering wheel, [he was ready to help me navigate to the veterinarian's office]." |

Shaq is a 2-year-old neutered male Mastiff / Staffordshire Terrier mix. According to several of our volunteers who have played with him, "He is a big, loveable, mellow goofball." He apparently has never been walked on a leash, so The Ark will be giving him some gentle basic training. When we took him to the animal hospital for a physical, it was love at first sight for ALL of the employees there. |

Pansy is a 7 year old female cat who likes to be among people, but she has just enough of that feline independence that she does not need to be doted on. She has been around dogs and is fine with them. Pansy raised Sylvester (see below) ever since he was a wee little kitten. Ideally, The Ark would like to find a home that can keep Pansy and Sylvester together. |

Sylvester is a 3 year old male cat who is very loving and enjoys being with people. He has been around dogs and is fine with them. Sylvester was raised by Pansy (see above) and learned his manners well. Ideally, The Ark would like to find a home that can keep Sylvester together with Pansy. |

Nala
was recently welcomed aboard The Ark after being passed over by all other rescue groups.
She had already lost 4 of her kittens at the County Shelter and
her 2 remaining kittens (which we also took in) were very weak.
(Sadly, one of them, Tiger Lily, passed away 2 nights later.)
Nala came to us extremely thin and not eating well.
Now in a loving foster home, she is recovering nicely and nursing her remaining kitten, Simba (see below). Please check back soon for an updated photo. |

Simba is now a 7-week-old orange tabby boy. He is the sole survivor of 6 kittens who were impounded at the County Shelter with their mother Nala (see above). Within minutes of rescuing him, The Ark whisked Simba to a veterinarian to be given fluids, iron supplements and antibiotics. We are so pleased to report that he is doing really well. Unless he and his mother are adopted together, he will need a little more time with her before being available for an individual adoption. |

Lucy Girl is a beautiful 3 year old female long-haired Chihuahua mix. She is now in the loving hands of one of our very experienced foster families. They report that she is very shy and will need a patient home that will give her the time she needs to adjust to a new enviroment. |

Kobe is a 1 year old male Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is very curious about the world around him and enjoys learning new things. He is friendly and social with people and dogs. Just look at that smile! |

Louisey is a loving 5 year old female Lab Chow mix. With lots of play for the yard and lots of snuggle for your lap, she's ready for immediate adoption. Louisey is well trained, friendly with other dogs and children, and will make a great addition to a caring family. |

Dolly is a 2 year old female Staffordshire Terrier mix, with a beautiful brindle coat and playful personality. She is a little shy at first, but is truly friendly with other dogs and people. Dolly also loves to go for long walks, enjoys rides in the car, and greets everyone she sees with a wag and a kiss. |

Spunky is a 14 year old neutered male DSH orange tabby cat. He is very affectionate and has an especially loud purr box! He still has several good years to give to that very special home. |

Roo is a one year old neutered male Staffordshire Terrier. He is a happy bouncy boy who loves people and other dogs. Take him for a car ride and you'll have one very happy dog! |

Oreo is
a two year old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier.
She is extremely loving and does well with other dogs and children.
She has suffered from neglect but is blossoming under the

Cheeto is a 3 year old neutered male Dachshund mix. With one ear up and one down, you can't help but smile at his antics. His foster parents report that "this little big dog is a real character who has made tremendous progress in overcoming his initial fear of hands." He also loves to talk and talk and talk — pretty much as long as you'll listen. |

Michael is an 8 year old male DSH who lost his original home because no one wanted to pay attention to him. Now, according to his foster parents, "Michael is a total love bug once he gets to know you. He's even willing to come to you for loving -- including rolling over on his back for 'belly rubs'. Yes, belly rubs!!! (This is so unusual for most cats.)" |

Taylor Dane is a 4 year old Mastiff mix. She has a wonderful personality, gets along well with other dogs and, oh yeah, has lots and lots of love to give. More Taylor Dane pictures... |
