The Ark of San Juan is a non-profit all volunteer animal rescue organization whose primary mission is to end needless euthanasia of healthy pets. The Ark requires an adoption application, a home check, an adoption contract and an adoption fee of $250 Adult Dogs - $350 Puppies under 1 year (adoption fees may vary for certain situations / breeds). All dogs are altered and up-to-date on vaccinations before they are adopted out.
“Visual breed identification" in dogs/cats are unreliable so for most of the them we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know them as individuals and will do our best to describe each of of them based on personality, not by breed label.
Hank is a 2-year old Rottweiler mix neutered male. He is shy but open to socializing with adult humans and he is receptive to training. When he first came into our program in early December, he was getting over kennel cough, giardia and had two masses on his right hip (which have since been removed and diagnosed to be benign).
Jack is a very cute 5-year-old Havanese mix who loves his walks and pets from his people. Jack wants all the attention to himself so he would do best as an only pet.
